Construct/Deconstruct
A collaboration between two Graphic design students and one Fashion design student. We chose to explore the idea of collaboration rather than focus on either Graphic Design or Fashion Design. The final outcome was an evening workshop which discussed construction, deconstruction and unpredictability explaining these three elements as fundamental components in any creative process. Upon entry, we requested each person to bring one to three books of their choice from the library in exchange for a drink. Each person then selected pages to photocopy from their books in order to create an installation of book spreads on the wall. These pages have since been bound together, creating a catalogue which showcases a diverse range of inspiration and influences from attendees. The visitors became contributors to the final catalogue and, in this sense, the content was entirely unpredictable.
