Auction of Promises
As part of my final project i organised a fundraising event for our degree show. Each tutor and technician of the BAGD course was asked to promise something for the auction (material or immaterial) and in response the audience bid on the items. A catalogue of promises was designed for everyone at the auction which included the rules of auctioning. £2091 was raised in two hours. The money gathered has gone towards bringing back a printed publication for our degree show with carefully selected intellectual content, which exposes the thinking behind the work of the students on the course as opposed to images of finished pieces of work.
